Hajime Tabata, the director of Final Fantasy Agito XIII, has found time to Tweet about something other than the protagonist from his other project, The 3rd Birthday, having showers. Yesterday, he discussed the graphics of both games. He said that the quality of the realtime graphics in both games is astounding, beyond that which was achieved in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. He attributes this to the team now being skilled in working with the hardware.
It seems that, from a technical side, the game is in good hands. And if nothing else, it will at least look good.

Dengeki has had the chance to talk to Final Fantasy Agito XIII director Hajime Tabata and producer Yoshinori Kitase about how the third installment in the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation is progressing.
At the moment Tabata is focusing on his other project, The 3rd Birthday but he says the development of Agito is progressing steadily. "I believe it will be an FF that differs from the image fans have." When Dengeki asked what he meant he answered "We're making it into a game where you can feel the true pain and weight as a war story. Because it has some harsh portrayals, Kitase is frequently making checks."
Kitase continues "There are parts where you see a soldier burned and falling over after being struck by fire. Initially, I warned them to not go too far in their expressions, but now I'm telling them to do whatever they want." To justify the long wait, Tabata adds "It's a full spec Final Fantasy that's multiplayer and can be played on the PSP. Please anticipate it greatly."

Yusuke Naora, art director of Final Fantasy Agito XIII, has taken part in a similar Twitter interview as Nomura did a couple of days ago. Unfortunately he didn't have much to say but we do finally have an update on the progress of the games development.
Naora says that soon he will be able to fully concentrate on Agito but the game is already taking shape. It's a game that's powerful and challenging but still a Final Fantasy. He just asks for a little more time until they can show their work.

Although we were told that nothing relating to Final Fantasy Versus XIII or Final Fantasy Agito XIII would be appearing at TGS, it seems that was a lie. Two new direct feed screenshots of Final Fantasy Agito XIII have been released. They're nothing spectacular and the graphics don't look stunning but we'll hopefully see more on it soon.

IGN have gotten their hands on the Final Fantasy Agito XIII trailer from the Final Fantasy XIII demo disc. It contains brand new footage and for the first time, gameplay from the PSP version of the game.
The final FNC title which was shown in private at DKS3173 in a closed theater has now also been ripped from the Re: Final Fantasy XIII DVD.

Final Fantasy Agito XIII Re: Final Fantasy XIII Trailer Stream(Download links available too)
Update: The trailers are now available on our flash player. Download links have been added too.
The trailer that was recently leaked recently was an old one from last year (No surprise there), and since Final Fantasy Agito XIII's announcement and development on the PSP the style has changed somewhat.
A new poster from TGS shows a group of school kids, who appear to be the same characters from the previous art (That you can see
here) but in a rather different, darker setting. Final Fantasy Agito XIII has been looking better and better since it's announcement for PSP, so we hope we have more good things to come.

As if it isn't obvious enough from the title, the Final Fantasy Agito XIII trailer has been leaked by a very useful TGS attendee with a camera. It may be hard to hear but you can see it all. The trailer is the same as shown at DKS3137 and includes gameplay. Enjoy!

Thanks to Nero we have a scan from the latest issue of EGM with Shane Bettenhausen detailing the specifics of what happened at DKS3137 in August. Most of the article we already knew but a few interesting facts came up like Lightning's ability to jump and roll while exploring the field.
At the event Nomura also apparently confirmed that Final Fantasy Agito XIII and The 3rd Birthday are now PSP exclusives meaning their mobile development has been cancelled. He also says that they are both going to be released in 2009. We assume this is the Japanese release date. This does contradict with previous reports that Agito would be the last out of the currently announced Fabula Nova Crystallis titles to be released but as in the past, plans for this title seem to change dramatically.
Tomorrow the Tokyo Game Show begins (for me anyway) and we'll be making sure to keep you all up to date with any announcements as we get them. Maybe we'll see further confirmation of Agito's release date. To read the full scan, click the image below.

IGN have extracted some more details from the latest issue of Famitsu PS3 that came out a few days ago. Some details to the storyline of Final Fantasy Agito XIII have finally been revealed and also the fact that Final Fantasy Agito XIII was always being planned for release on PSP.
Tetsuya Nomura and Hajime Tabata said in Famitsu that the title was always being planned for release on PSP but the announcement a few weeks ago was to show that the PSP development had taken priority.
In the Final Fantasy Agito XIII world, the PAX CODEX (a peace treaty) has been broken by Cid from a neighbouring country who has sent "Lucy" or "Lucies" to invade the other. We aren't sure what a Lucy is but I'm sure we'll find out eventually. Little more is new in the article but at least now we know the basis of the storyline and that Cid will be present in at least one of the Fabula Nova Crystallis titles.
