[...]the game should be able to feature battles set in areas with great differences in height, just like in the trailer. Players will have to fight using the full environment, both directly in front of them and above and below
I'm re-searching for the article that said abilities seen in the trailers (namely, the ones involving the swords' abilities) weren't actaully in the game but just in consideration, to see how those informations conflict.
It must be more recent that that, because I havent encountered it yet as for late 2007 (going from older to newer).
Versus - "The Goddess Etro" which was spoken of in the dialogue between Noctis and Stella is not the goddess shown in the painting drawn by Amano.
Until now, this is the most recent (late 2008, but I'll look further) reference to Etro I've found, and it specifically mentions both the painting and Etro.
I think I've read about the goddes, and about the painthing of the death god, but I can't recall if I've read them in relation to each another.
Is it possiblre that it's just an assumption people made of Etro being the one portaied in the painting?
Just the tought of re-reading it all again makes me want to die DDD;
EDIT2:

Nomura wants to show the result of leaving a character on their own for a long period of time.
Anyone here knows what this could mean?
Might turn out to be a relevant information, but I'm not sure.

Sounds like if you decide to go on your own with one character in the game, you're basically fucked. Maybe it's like in Persona 3 where if you go out on your own when you split up your crew and encounter a monster, it'll just be you.
That's what he must have meant when he said 'leaving a character on their own for a long period of time'. The feeling of struggling alone while knowing his comrades are elsewhere possibly suffering. All in accordance with growing close to characters and suddenly splitting up which is where 'pain' comes in.

Or the 'pain' aspect can also branch from betrayal; perhaps from his comrades or from Noctis himself. Maybe he's duty-bound to protect his Kingdom's crystal from anyone, even if it means hurting his friends.
Well it can branch from many situations in that case, but betrayal might just be one of a dozen scenarios. More than likely he'll have different ways of conveying the same emotions to players.
Yea, that's sounds really interesting. So I guess the portrait of Noctis that'll be at the bottom of the screen will be more than just for show, like most RPG's. Since it'll convey what he's feeling/thinking at that moment.
So if you leave the game with Noctis feeling fairly content or whatever, you could come back finding him feeling tired or worried, in response to a certain person or task in the game?
This reminds of Brave Fencer Musashi, when the on screen-portrait of Musashi actually has a purpose in telling you the condition of him as you play.

Think it will affect his prowess in battle? Or the power to utilize the Crystal (or however he manages to conjure weapons and magic).

So you mean if he received some troubling news right before battle, it'll serve as a distraction which would lower his stats or something? That would be neat! Or it could work the opposite as well; something good happens to him, & his stats increase.
You're on point! Yeah, pretty much everything you said.
I don't know how much effort Nomura will put into this and if he's meticulous when it comes to certain aspects. It would be nice to see all these small aspects to be thrown in like the interactive environments you mentioned on the other thread.
Damn the more I find out about this game the more I like! Even though much of it is speculation.
Falsate, I think you could be right! If he wants to show the pain that Noctis may have from being left alone whats the point if it doesnt affect anything in the game? I cant wait to see how this plays into the game!
