ginal fantasy III (ds) job system questions?

Ok, this is the 1st time I ever played this game and its the ds version. I have 3 sets of jobs and I'm wondering what is worth leveling up and not? So far I have luneth a lv 99 monk, which rocks but I want to give him another job now I'm with a dragoon, is that a good job if lv is high? Refia is my black/red mage and I switched her to geomancer and evoker, I really like geomancer due to no mp and can b pretty powerful, so should I max out her black mage job or stick with geo or evoker? And ofcourse the next set of jobs I don't have yet if anyone has any pointers on what job to start with right away is appreciated! Thanx
