I am not sure what to do with this boss I am really far in the game I am now going for all fragments. Finished the main story line now going back through to do all the side quests. The Yomi Fragment side quest, is hard! I'm on easy mode too! So what is the best strategy to defeat him. Its like nothing penetrates it.
Any Suggested Paradigm and strategy would be helpful.
Also on another note I have run out of wild artefacts to open gates I purchased one in Serendipity but now it says that it is sold out has anyone noticed that there are only like 10 in the whole game and there are more gates to open is there a chance of finding all 10 of them again if I close gates and go back through?
Any help would be great here and also if I have posted in the wrong area I do apologize.
There are only 10 Wild Artefacts, and only 10 Wild Gates. So if you still haven't opened all the gates, it's because you haven't found all the Artefacts or you haven't gone back to actually open them.
As for the Yomi, my suggestion would be to use Sab-Sab-Sen when he doesn't have his damage barrier up to inflict Poison ASAP. After that, it's a good idea to inflict Deshell and spam Wound. If you have a good Synergistic monster like the Purple Chocobo, you should switch to Rapid Growth (Syn-Syn-Syn) and Combat Clinic (Med-Med-Sen) while its got its damage barrier up to heal and refresh buffs. You should also have Relentless Assault (Com-Rav-Rav) and possibly Aggression (Com-Com-Rav) in case you managed to stagger it.
Alternatively, you can continue to fight him with Sab-Com-Sen/Sab-Med-Sen to inflict Wound Damage and regular damage continually.
Sen-Sen-Sen (when he does bomb thing)
Sab-Sab-Syn (always cast Deprotect-Deshell him first)
Com-Com-Com (to deal maximum damage while you can)
Med-Med-Sen (when you need to heal party members while he does nothing in defensive mode)
my Sen is Bunkerfeist, my cCm is a gold Chocobo and the Syn is a Yakishini
I defeated him first time (on normal) before reading all about how hard Yomi was, and I took the Deprotect/Poision/Wound tactic. Some might find it unconventional, but it works. To speed up the battle when you have a fairly powerful/mastered party, having COM/COM/COM for the last 30% or so of his health is quite useful. (It's a slight gamble if you're wounded/debuffed)
Of course a Tortoise Paradigm is also necessary (SEN/SEN/SEN) for his spinning gale attack thing.
I didn't have Salvation Paradim (MED/MED/MED), only a Combat Clinic (MED/MED/SEN).
Having a strong COM when you cast debuff on Yomi really speed up the battle in my experience. Good luck
Hello All that replied
I defeated Yomi thank you for your suggestions! Now I still have one problem though I have nine gates and no wild artefacts I collected them all but now I am unable to finish the game I have like 147 fragments located, but still need to open gates to complete for 100%
Should I just start the game over or is there a way to retrieve more wild artefacts? I have found all of the wild artefacts in there locations and even bought one in Serendipity and have used all of the artefacts now what? Nine gates unaccounted for

I already answered this question. You did NOT use all of the Wild Artefacts if you still have 9 Wild Gates to open.

Remember that storyline gates do NOT use Wild Artefacts. They each have their own permanent artefact wit its own name.

Well I have just figured out what these 9 gates are they are paradox endings. I appreciate your help! So now I guess I need to go back through the time line and trigger paradox endings. I have used my wild artefacts correctly according to the guide book so I guess I won't have to start this game back over yay!!! Thanks again!
Here is the list of all 10 Wild Artefacts location...
Bresha Ruins (005AF) - Use Mog Hunt right after tutorial
Bresha Ruins (300AF) - Find the phased out NPC in the graveyard and complete his quest
Oerba (200AF) - Use moogle throw on the side of the house near the big tree (It's a tough one to see, after you unlock the 3rd Anamoly and the whole of Oerba, track back around the corner until you get to a little alcove facing out over the crystal sands, if you look over towards the buildings on the left, you should see a little blue dot, that's the artefact)
Sunleth Waterscape (300AF) - Use Moogle Throw during the ride on the animal trail (When you're riding on the back of the big monster, if it's your first ride, it should be on your left side, near the end of the ride)
Archlyte Steppe (???AF) Moogle throw on the western cliff to collect from a lower platform
Augusta Tower (200AF) - 50th floor
Academia (4XXAF) In an alley, southeastern part of the map
Yaschas Massif (100AF) - Do Rubies Of Grief quest, and solve the Temporal Rift
A Dying World (700AF) - Complete the location, then return and examine the farseers' relic
