Lightning because she doesn't have a voice as high pitched as a mouse, so when you screw her, her moans dont pierce your ear drums, like most Japanese girls do.
I like Lightning mre in both the game and the fan arts above. In the game I like her because she's not the typical main female protagonist, instead she proves she can defend herself (As someone said) and even though Ashe was like that she was still a little bit more I don't know, something about she made her not different than the others. As in the fanarts I like the pose she makes like trying to make balance with her swords, her colors have just the exact brightness. Stella's pose is nice but the way the artist painted it, it seems kinda dark.
Lightnin has something special, Stella instead is a typicall girly girl. That' s why I choose Lightning

In-game....Lightning of course...I would be lesbian just for her!!!
She is strong and beautiful...and not the girl who have to be saved all the time! I think Stella'll be saved by Noctis manymany times!
Of the fanarts: Lightning is better. Only because I think the artist's skill in digital art is superior to hand. A little practice can change this.
Of the characters: I don't know enough about Stella. She does give the blonde Rinoa vibe. But then, Rinoa gave off Tifa vibes (and sometime later we got Tifa's Advent Children gear) and Ashe looked to be blonde Yuna.
I definitely liked Lightning's strong resolve and physically violent nature (part of why I love Tifa). Stella seems like she will also have a strong resolve, too, but she's already teeming with sorceress qualities. Magical girls are fun and all, but I'm not sure anyone can really top Terra/Tina.
Stella will probably stand on equal ground with Noctis in regard to magic 'power', but that doesn't mean she has his skill or initiative to use it. If they do go up against one another, she'd better hope she has a willing body shield in her corner.
As for looks, the current Lightning is absolutely as feminine as Stella.
Part of why I thought Lightning's pre make over look was much sexier was because she was that much more masculine. She had to be softened up to fit conventional beauty themes, which doesn't look bad, but the pink hair really doesn't do it for me the way the faded crimson did.
Stella is quite pretty, but I agree with the thoughts on her clothing. Shallow as it'll sound, I think her character would appeal to me a lot more if she was more fan service-y. So... Lose the sweater, go out shopping with Yuna, Rikku and Tifa.
That, or take personality lessons from Jihl. ... then borrow Lulu's dress.
Lightning in either ways. Stella looks too ordinary to me. She gives of a "damsel-in-distress" kind of vibe. And her slow-mo head turn, my GOD! Aerith does a better job on that.
Besides, Lightning's lips are much more beautiful. And her hair is BADASS!!! Stella looks a bit too flat to me... Sorry just had to say that.

As with a majority of the people in here, I'm going with Lightning. Both in-game AND in fanart any day, as well as in battle. I mean, COME ON people! She's an annoying blonde Rinoa! Sheesh... The guy who said Aerith does better with the whole slow-mo turn around is so right on. (How dare Stella try and mock the last great Cetra!)
Fashion Sense:
Lightning - Daring and definitely turns on any guy (or girl) who sees her. Even the stoic types. Would be nice to see in a black, form-fitting cocktail dress. (Ooh~)
Stella - Practically Rachel from Glee ("Can look like a grandma and a toddler at the same time." --Quinn) and she'll be lucky if she ever finds someone like Finn somewhere along the plot's progression. The white Greek/Roman inspired formal dress is soooooooo 1970's.
Battle Skillz:
Lightning - Kickass and will definitely hand any person their ass on a gold platter. Hell, she can control gravity and slow down time! She even free falls from the sky and SURVIVES!!!
Stella - Yeah, we get that you have the same magic and stuff as Noctis but the skills, stamina and drive? It's obvious that with just with a few well-placed shots, puches, kicks, slashes and gravity bombs, you'd keel over like a sack of potatoes. K.O. to you, girly.
I go with Stella. She is girly and a little flirty, and polite too. And she acts really nice în front of Noctis. Why I like her is because the truth is: she is ths game's major antagonist! She is very different from any other FF girl, because she has two faces, she isn't just sweet, she is evil and ready to fight with the protagonist. Plus, she is a swordman. I freaking love swordmen. And she is evil, but even so,.still gentle and girly.
I think she will fall în love with Noctis, and will finally sacrifice for him or something, as the game doesn't look like it will have an happy ending.
And în terms of looks, Stella looks better, IMO. And I think her eyes are violet-blue, not pure blue, like Lightning's.

Did Nomura confirm that she was evil?
Because according to what he "actually did say" in interviews is that Stella doesn't actually want to fight Noctis and is more or less forced to due to her affinity (light) and place in their mafia-esque society. Another question if I may. Aside from asking why people feel need to make up shit in forums I have to wonder why does there have to be character hate coming from different camps? Hating a character because they're not your jeezy is fucking retarded.
I thought that Tifa was a better match for Cloud but I also liked Aeris. I didn't hate either of them and I found them both to be endearing. I thought Rinoa was better for Squall than Quistis was for him but I liked her as well. And obviously if Lightning was a better match for Noctis then Nomura would have put her in the fucking game. So regardless of what the fandumb thinks, it's plausible that the guy who writes the stories for FF probably knows his characters better than the lot of you. Stella is a better match for Noctis because..., and I'm not going to list the 10+ reasons because that would imply I actually take this ridiculous discussion seriously.
