Serah is pretty but I still like Lightning a lot better, especially now with the armor. I'm guessing the game will be 50% Serah by looking at this poster.

Now that I think about it, probably like 75% Serah in it . . .
What else is Lightning suppose to be doing in the Vallhala other than guarding Etro? Nothing . . . Just fight some random monsters who comes close.

I think you both are jumping the gun here without much backing. All you have so far are small snippets into the game. I mean, where does Noel place in the percentage? I bet he is very important. I am certain there are more characters that make a great impact on the story. Sure, though, I won't argue that Serah and Lightning may be the most important characters.

I'm not saying that Serah will certainly become the main character, I meant that at least 50% of the game will feature Serah (maybe more, however they are in different worlds).
But the most important characters are Lightning, Serah, and possibly Noel.
The story will mainly revolve around Serah, Light and Noel, I assume. But of course, we've yet to see the rest of the main characters, and in FFXIII, the story was pretty balanced among all of the characters there. Vanille and Fang were the main reasons for the game's plot, and their actions dragged Sazh and Serah into the story. From there, Light, Snow and Hope were inadvertently affected and made part of the story, with Lightning driving it forward. Similarly each person will have their own special place in XIII-2 I'd reckon. If you ask me, Serah will probably have as big a part as Vanille did and Noel will drive it forward like Lightning did. Lightning will be significant to the plot, but probably later on, like Fang was.

Getting to play as Lightning is what will motivate me to play through the game halfway, then!
@ kraid2008: very nice analysis! Very succinct. I also have a feeling that this time around, XIII-2 will balance the plots among the playable characters as XIII did, but with some bonus segments for Serah or Claire or both.
