Hi. Just got FFXIII but I am seriously struggling with weapon upgrading.

I hope someone can help me cos I can't find a strategy guide anywhere, (that I trust). I am seriously struggling with weapon upgrading and have now reached a point, the fight with the Sanctum Patriarch, which I just can't do, I keep running out of time. If anyone could give me some tips on weapon upgrading I would be very grateful. I've managed to discover 4 combinations that give xp multipliers but I think the important thing is High multipliers and I can only mange a X2 multiplier. HELP PLEASE!

If you can get into the store "Creature Comforts" Buy Sturdy Bones, at least 41 of them. Then use them on the weapon of your choice and you'll automatically get a X3 multiplier, the highest you can get.

I do it all the time. Buying 99 of them = 7.5 - 8K I believe. Can't remember the exact amount.
