Also, I was expecting to see purple guy in action but oh well.
I think you just did . . . People made comparisons in GameFAQS/Spot that the purple guy was human-form Bahamut when the announcement trailer was released.
So when I saw Lightning fighting Bahamut . . . My reaction was, "PURPLE GUY!!!!!! :O"
I was actually impressed with the trailer, they kept it short (i.e. no slow paced 7 minute exposition), they showed what I wanted to see (the battle system in action! and LIGHTNING!!!) and I can safely say I'm excited for this game.
I hope that Alyssa freak is not playable though, she ugly.
and I think I'll warm up to Serah in this game seeing as how she'll actually be important...and I like her new design so that helps.
Noel is a typical Square pretty boy, but I can deal with it, I have for most of the other games!
I think I miss out on a few things. But I thought that that there is no more summons (Odin, Bahamut, etc) because the whole Fal'Cie And l'Cie dynamic is over and done with in the first game. Or is it not? Lol. Let's just assume that, then how can the summons manifest themselves in the sequel? Who gives Claire the power to call for Odin? Please help me clear this up.. anyone.
Bahamut = Purple hair guy? Hm.... interesting. I think that can work.

maybe in the world in which she is right now they exist kinda like ff6
so Odin remembers her as an old friends or something?
I never played Final Fantasy 6 before, but nice idea. I wonder if there is any official information on my question though or has there just been speculations.

Really liked it. Serah almost looks cool with a bow. Will they manage to make her not an annoying brat? I'm ok with her being a main character and all, but she they really need to work on her attitude.
Noel is ok. His clothes and fighting style are similar to Fang's, maybe they're related?
I'm very excited about this. I loved FFXIII and I'm looking forward to it. I hope Snow'll show up to. Without Hope bithing around, he's not such a bad character.

I agree, I really love her bow. It fits her for some reason. The sword part is awesome too though.

I don't hate Noel, but I don't love him either. I think whatever his charm is, I have to warm up to it when more news comes.
Snow is either sick or trap somewhere because he should have been there when that big monster hand almost killed Serah if it wasn't for Noel.

God I am so tired of 16 year old kids who are totally cliche and wants so save the world... Honestly, no wonder I play less and less FF and more and more Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Assassins Creed.
Regardless, Im still gonna buy the game when its brand new because it is a Final Fantasy game and I still hope one day I will truly enjoy the game, like I enjoyed X and VIII.
But I guess its me who is getting older... When I think back I was actually 13 years old when I played X.. eh.
Its mostly the childish look of the main characters that really bugs me. I truly miss a main character who is over 20 year and looks like a man!
One question though. Noel is the same characters as in the first trailer of lightning and the mysterious purple dude? He just looks more long haired and more mature than the Noel in the later trailers...
