I could only think of Noel in this case, since his name means ''birth'' in some other language.
I can expand on that: noël is the french and sometimes english word for christmas when jesus was Born, capital letter and all. As obvious as that may seem, and it comes from some latin word meaning natal. Sorry for being captain obvious on that but I'd never have noticed it if you hadn't brought it up

Also, even though they said he isn't related to Fang, he has some noticeable characteristics that are similar to hers e.g. both weapons can transform to a spear, similar style of clothing, similar cocky attitude, and I don't know if there's more.
I did a little more looking into his name and 'Kreiss' is from a word of Germanic origin for 'circle', so his name pretty much means 'birth circle' if etymology floats your boat. So that's a nice obvious tie to prayer of rebirth miflip for you. I can see where this game is going from a mile off...
Why can they never give their characters nice non-meaningful names?
And I feel inclined to point out that his hair is brown, not black... so there are even less similarities. Unless terminal cockiness is a common trait among Pulsians?

Nah I was just being a little sarcastic.
Beside when anticipating XIII I spent ages scouring the net for screenshots,trailers,gameplay etc etc. I probably spent more time researching and studying screenshots/trailers of XIII more than actually playing it. lol.
His clothes are blue and his hair is black. That's about it. Change the colours and there would not be any similarities.
His combat style also reminds me of Fang. Can't his swords turn into a spear? I thought I read something about it. And It's not just the color of his clothes, the pattern on his pants are similar to Fang's dress, his sandals too... they may not be blood related, but maybe from the same tribe? There are just too many similarities to ignore them.
Me three :3 She has nice legs too in one cutscene xD
I think almost every women in FF universe has nice legs... except for that obese queen from FFIX. Hers is too much.

They are not related according to the news. They just have similar attire.

I like the screenshots. I just cant get over the whole crystallized cocoon on the background. Its really nice. BTW i dont think Fang and Noel are alike except for the fact that both of them drees in blue...
@ Lightning Farron - yes, it does. I think anyone who nitpick on certain objects/element of this game will find a plethora of resemblance/similarities to a hoard of other FF games. It's just a pier. Lol.
