Pretty much. So what is the problem? I mean does anyone follow closely to the people who had their will to live broken?
The problem just from a storyline point of view is that a guy just sitting there in a tower waiting for you to come and defeat him does not make a particularly interesting finale to the game. Don't get me wrong, I loved FFVI, it's just that the end section wasn't especially exciting when compared to all the great stuff that had happened earlier in the story.
Definitely! He wasn't just funny to look at and had a terrific mad laugh - he actually did mad things! He was a true villain with truly bad deeds wherever he went.
Spoiler:
Once you play the game you can't forget nor forgive him for the poisoning of the entire kingdom of Doma (poor Cyan...), the almost fully destruction of the world, him murdering the awesome General Leo... ugh...
Kefka's cool...definately a more unique villan. I actually don't get why they don't make more villans like Kefka nowadays, maybe not exactly clown by looks but I mean...silly looking that get in odd situations, instead of the average cold "I'll eventually accept I was wrong after losing the 9 billionth battle with you" kind of guy.
Kefka's laugh was great too. 'Sounded like he was high on Choco Greens.
dablemont: Right you are, miss! He was actually kind of like Golbez from IV, but with more guts to do things.
Exodus: Well that's kind of the prob with Kefka, he held out fighting you until he could absorb enough power, too. X-Death rocked hard...now that guy was badarse!
...and me. I tried stopping heroes in V, VII and XII to no evail.
Hitoshura: not...really, Zemus just basically appeared at the end if I remember correctly, at least kefka showed himself. Zemus was actually awesome too, its a darn shame they didn't expand on him and make him more fightable, he's actually one of FF's most underrated villans because of it. Lunar vampire...how cool is that?

Kefka was an awsome villian becuase he was purley and entirely evil. He wasn't a supreme being or an all powerful entity, he was mearly a man, a very, very evil man!
Final Fantasy VI, imo is one of the bvest Final Fantasy games ever made. It even comes close to FFVII.
It's got some brilliant characters (Terra and Setzer....as well as everyone else),one of the best storylines I've ever played through and The best Villain of any Final Fantasy game. Kefka. The only villain who actually gets around to destroying everyones life and turning everyone in the world pretty much into his slaves.
Comes close to FFVII? GTFO, it clearly IS better than that overrated hype known as FFVII.

The best villain and probably the best FF ever. It's funny, IGN just released a ranking of the series a few hours ago and had this game number 1. Good choice. If its not the best, it'll probably be the one that lasts the longest in terms of legacy and gameplay. To me, its one of the very few games ever made that has legitimately transcended its era of gaming.
I always alternate between VI and IX as my favorite. If not perfectly executed character backgrounds and having a powerful plot, FFVI is not far from it.

Yeah right, more people do and will remember VII over VI.
