----It'd be debatable 'cause some people might prefer fan art over original or it might be hard to track down plagiarism 'cause it's all forms of art or it might be that we're all confused about what's allowed.

Its not like its a life or death situation. Post a photograph or a scan of artwork. Or even a photograph of a photograph if it rocks your boat. I'm sure we can trust each person not to copy other peoples work .

If some peoples preference is fan art and others are photography then its your job to convert them to what you have done. You need to 'sell' your piece of art to us. Be creative and sell it to me, then you'll obviously get more votes. If you dont enter you will never know.
You have just over 48 hours guys!

erm i might as well give this a go-this is a sketch i done a few weeks ago-my new scanner seems to have really indented the pencil lines dang its pretty dark and the contrast came out incredibly well
Ah right cool! I tried Maya to design a Sig sauer P228. Failed miserably. Ended up rolling ina fit of rage and going back to Photoshop.
If you're gonna use Maya, don't screw around messing with the polygons. Vertices FTW!!! Also, extruding means a lot. If you're picking up Maya again you'll see that these two tings are what drives you forward. Start with a cube, extrude the barrel and the handle, Polygon tool are also meant to be used. And one more thing, for symmetry, make only one half side and use Mirror Geometry.
