I totally agree with the OP. Final Fantasy needs more ethnic diversity.

Tidus CG model was clearly asian. I think Cloud AC was too but i'm not too sure.

Technically no because there is no Asia in Final Fantasy. However we can say that Yuffie looks Asian because she does in fact look Asian. The term Asian here is used as an adjective to describe her looks rather that her race if than makes any sense.

Anyway still stand by my previous comment in that I wish to see a wider range of races in Final Fantasy games. I certainly hope that Sazh is not the only black person in the game (that would just look weird) and that the more characters of varied races as well.

I'd say Fran was kind of a black chick. I mean the best cosplay for Fran would be a black chick (the right black chick). Donna looked more Puerto Rican/Hispanic to me then black.

Yes African women are very pretty. I think the closest SE has come to such is with Fran and I thought Fran was gorgeous.

If SE is going to start thinking about diffren colours then they shouldn't just put one black male/female but let there be more of them, like in RE5, they didnt just put Sheva in there, they put a whole country full of black people for your enjoyment

I like ethnic diversity in my games it's awesome to see all these races come together. But only if they aren't stereotypes. If they are just going to give us a stereotypical African American or stereotypical Hispanic, I rather not see an ethnic character then.

Now Square's The Last Remnant had characters of bunch of different races and they pulled it off quite well IMO. So I don't know why they don't add more color to the FF series...
