We've seen Final fantasy make the shift from the retro and GBA to the playstation for better tech and graphics.
What do you think of the chance of Camelot moving to the PS3 after Golden Sun DS for its nest Golden Sun game to provide a really exceptional, long adn graphically amazing game for the current and next gen consoles, instead of just handhelds like the DS?
I personally think it will be a great move if they do it. Even if they make it multi-console, since the PS3 is getting its motion controller next year, so if they need motion control in anything, which they might, especially in those puzzles of theirs, there wouldn't be any problem making it multi-platform. The only difference would be the clear difference of quality in the graphics and amount of data considering the blu-ray dics for the PS3.
Perhaps then we could get some really awesome CG cutscenes and voiceovers from Camelot for Golden Sun Ps3 or whatever
It's bad enough that it moved to the DS and got shitty new designs. As much as I fucking love the series, any more than this would probably ruin it in my eyes.
Though, in its defense, any Golden Sun is fantastic Golden Sun.
They removed Ivan (Or, I think they did?) and butchered Mia. Or, their ancestors, anyway. I was referring to main character designs, not designs as a whole, which is why the game isn't completely ruined for me visually or anything.

I'd still play it anyway though.
Well, Im talking about the general graphics of the game and what is usually xpected out of Camelot, seeing the kick ass visuals they gave us for the first 2 games on the GBA
^ Well, yeah, I was partially referring to this, too.
I'd rather a sprite-based or really simple 3D game on a handheld to a PS3 one. I don't know how capable the graphcis team would be of handling something like that, which is my main fear. Or, would be, if GS was coming to the PS3.
It'd just be so easy to screw up. (Oh, and when I say designs for characters, that can also be attributed to how the models could turn out crap in a PS3 version. The models are good in the DS game, though the character design for Mia and thus far exclusion of Ivan is just horrid.)

The designs looked pretty basic descendant crap to me. The real meat will be how well they tie them to the ancestors... or if they do at all.
I just think that if it came to PS3 it has to be done right. They have to choose a way to make it look next gen but not lose what golden sun is. I think it'd be awesome but I'd rather play a great cheaper portable version just like the first two games.
I'll contra ye, Bernax. I'd want a Golden Sun III on PS3 with great graphics and good voice acting.
The reign of Dijins shall continue!! MUWAHUHAHEHU!
Enkidoh: "Wu..w..?" ...maybe not huh?
But honestly, it MUST have THE best battle system like...ever made.

Ooooh Golden Sun, I loved the first one but never played the second and when I heard about the new one coming out on DS I got really excited. I think depending on how well Golden Sun DS sells will determine where it goes from there. I agree with David, if it does jump to a console I feel like it will most likely go to Wii.

Well, I certainly hope not, cause I don't want it to have pathetic graphics after seeing the immense potential Camelot has with GS 1 and 2 on the GBA that too. Now, seeing some awesome graphics of GS on PS3.....*drool* lol.
Also, the battle system is freaking awesome, in fact I don't give a damn even if every other RPG tries to copy it cause its simply the most robust, non-linear and really fun battle system that Ive ever seen
Again, with the greater capabilities and storage space cause of the PS3 we'll get a lot more of story from it as well, along with great voice acting and CG cutscenes XD.
So, yeah....it really should come to the PS3 and if your saying the wii cause of the motion sensing, remember that the PS3 is getting one thats better than that next year
I'm still not seeing where you think you could get things like CG scenes and quality voice acting from a Camelot game.
Not that they aren't talented, but they just don't have the manpower or money to do it. Camelot only has 33 employees, including management. Any cutscenes and hell, most of the game, would have to be outsourced. By the time it's all said and done it's not even really a Camelot game anymore.
Then the budget; it's unlikely they could even put together a budget for a big Wii RPG, much less a much more costly game on PS3 (or 360). It would have to be supported by one of their parent companies, which at the time I think are Nintendo (Lol @ Nintendo funding a PS3 game) and Sega. Wikipedia also has Capcom listed, but I don't know anything about that relationship. Sega might go for it since they seem to like risky propositions this generation, but I really doubt it.
And even if Nintendo doesn't have rights to the Golden Sun IP (I'm sure they do), they would have some say as to whether or not Camelot could work on a project like that since they own part of the company. I don't think they have majority ownership, so it's possible that they could get around that, but it would probably require almost every other shareholder to approve it. And considering the issues above, that's not likely.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool to have it a Golden Sun game on the PS3, or any Camelot RPG really. I'm just pointing out that it's probably more likely that Gears of War would go to the PS3 before Golden Sun.

Well the first two games didn't have anything other than button input so why would I suggest that the game will go onto the Wii because of the motion controls? I wouldn't, it just seems like they would stick with Nintendo.
